In early 2015 Devin and I recorded our first and only improvised collaboration consisting of drums, contact mics, FX, and a Korg MS-20. I unearthed the sessions in 2020 just to have something to tinker with. I slowly began editing, overdubbing, subtracting, and assembling the sessions into... something. The whole thing baffled me for a long time but I reached a point where more tinkering didn't seem helpful and I just wanted to be done with it. It turned out to be more of an exercise in sculpting something out of raw material rather than any sort of flawless execution in the moment.
